Day 3 Filming

Day 3 filming

Today we filmed the chess board sequence. A narrative for guitar in our music video

What we need.

Location – drama studio

Props – guitar, chess board made with black and white paper

Costume – each member had to be in black and white

Handy cam and tripod

Black clothe

Preparing and getting the location to film was much easier than we tried to get location for filming. Also the preparation for this opposed to our earlier thinking was easy. In this narrative we wanted to make a real life sized chess board where the guitar member and the rest of the members could have some sort of guitar showdown.  Making the chess board was easy as kaliegh brought a black cloth which we laid on the floor and then used a4 pieces of paper to make the creation complete and making the scene as though it an actual chess board and the members are the players.

Overall the filming of this sequence went well. We were able to maintain strong synergy with the use of costume and props. While shooting this narrative we used the handy cam. This allowed getting lots of free hand shots and also free movements we also got a wide range of shots and angles. We also had a tripod with us which was very helpful in getting really high birds high view shots

Problems we faced?

The only problem we encountered was actually discovered after we had finished filming and uploaded our footages. In some of our shot the tripod was in the background. However since it wasn’t highly noticeable we concluded that we can get around it
