Build Up And Decison For Music Video Idea


After much deliberation and pitch ideas we finally came up with a base of idea in which to develop our music video on. The lyrics of the song  really helped us in developing our ideas together.

 

The ideas in which we’ve come up were built up around the “space” “lost” and “elevator words in which were repeated in the song. We decide to take the elevator meaning literally by having the band members travelling in an elevator but only to arrive at an odd destination. The narrative of the music video is the band members all finding each other in different destinations till the whole band is united and then they make it to the final destination. The performance element of this would be snippets from the final destination however to make the final destination a mystery it would be out of focus. However as the narrative builds up and each band member gets found the location would become a bit clearer. The music video would end with band finally united and the elevator taking them to their final destination

 

So far destination in which we are thinking about include
Museums ,Swimming pool ,Park ,Café ,Shopping mall
Also during this week lesson we are starting to think of potential band members.

Update on idea: we have arranged five people to help us.

    To improve:

    1. Sythesise the data from questionnaires with focus group data to build a single picture, and then explain how that information has influenced creative decisions you've made.
    2. Start doing the 'little extras' - have a look at last year's A-grade blogs for inpiration.
    3. Include a more detailed write-up of your narrative - maybe use a Freytag-style diagram?
